On October 20 the fourth edition of the conference “Energy Storage technologies and projects” (AETP2016) took place in Madrid.
About 100 people, including several members of the LIFE ZAESS project, attended the scheduled talks which focused on the challenges of a fast-growing sector. The presentations covered a wide range of technologies, relating to power electronics as well as to different storage technologies: lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries, flow batteries, graphene polymer batteries, hydrogen and liquefied air. There was also a place to present the various possibilities offered by self-consumption installations.
One of the attractions of the conference were the real experiences that the speakers presented, showing details of the various applications for the network that are already providing some existing facilities and confirming that storage is called to play an increasingly important role in the new energy model we are approaching.
